Dear Former Members,
Re: Invitation To Motherhash's 70th Anniversary
Our beloved Hash House Harriers, or Motherhash as we are affectionately referred to by others as well as ourselves, marks its 70th Anniversary this December 7, 2008.
It is notable that the Hash should reach this watershed at a time when its popularity is at a new high, as reflected by its current membership of around 145 active hashers. We are proud that the Hash has begotten more than 2100 progenies with an estimated 200,000 active hashers worldwide, and hashing is now on the verge of receiving official International Olympic Council's recognition as a non-competitive sport!
The Hash Council has decided to hold a gala one-day
commemoration of this very significant milestone, and will extend invitations
to other men-only chapters to join us in this celebration.
The Hash Council realizes that the Hash would not be what it is today
without the involvement and contribution of its members, past and present.
Therefore, by this, all former members are invited to return to the fold,
albeit for one day only, to join us in the revelry, which will include
a run, On On and free-flowing drinks, entertainment, and commemorative
70th Anniversary freebies like t-shirts, etc.
As a former member, you are entitled to participate in the celebration event free-of-charge. All you need to do is to complete and submit your registration form to: mother.70th@gmail.com
Chapters that have invited Motherhash for their celebration runs on f.o.c. basis will be reciprocated, whilst others will pay only part of the actual per-head cost of hosting the event. The major part of the cost will be borne by current members. As such, we welcome, too, if you should want to make a contribution towards this endeavour. You may indicate your contribution on the registration form for former-members.
